Lenovo announces Flex 14 Ultrabook
Lenovo has announced a new Ultrabook called the Flex 14.At first glance, the Flex 14 might look like a Yoga 11 but they are completely different animals. For one, the Flex 14 runs Windows 8 rather than the horribly unpopular Windows RT operating system. The Flex 14 also lacks the ability to fold completely into tablet mode. Not that the flex 14 can’t fold, it’s keyboard area can be pushed back to prop the screen up for video watching. The Flex 14 retells at S$999, which equates to about $780 in the US. By comparison, the Yoga 11 sells for over S$1000 in Singapore. The Flex 11 screen is able to fold through 300° and the ultrabook has a manual switch for turning off the keyboard.
The 14-inch screen has a standard 1,366×788-pixel resolution. It comes with Nvidia GeForce GT 740M graphics, which means you can play many modern games at lower settings. Other specs include 8GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive and the Intel Core i5-4200U processor.
